Terms of use
Short, and in plain English. This site publishes opinions about dating platforms. It does not run any of them, cannot promise you will meet anyone, and is not a substitute for your own judgement.
The short version. Use the site if you are 18 or over. Everything here is our opinion, offered in good faith and researched from published sources, but you make your own decisions about who to pay and who to meet. We do not run the dating platforms we write about and cannot fix anything that happens on them.

Using this site means accepting these terms
By reading this site you accept the terms on this page. If you do not accept them, the remedy is straightforward: stop using the site.
You must be 18 or over
This site is for adults. Every platform we review is restricted to people aged 18 and over, and we exclude any that does not verify age at signup.
If you are under 18, these terms do not permit you to use this site, and the matching tool has no option below that age by design.
What this site is
Editorial opinion and information about dating platforms, researched from each platform’s published material, its app store listings, and independent reviews and user feedback. Every review says so on the page.
What this site is not
- Not a dating service. We do not operate any platform we write about, hold no member data, and cannot see, contact or moderate anyone’s account.
- Not advice. Nothing here is legal, financial, medical or relationship advice, and it is not tailored to your circumstances.
- Not a guarantee. We cannot promise you will meet anyone, that a platform will suit you, or that your experience will resemble anyone else’s.
- Not a substitute for checking. Prices, features and member numbers change. Verify anything that matters to you on the platform itself before paying.
Accuracy, and the limits of it
We research carefully and correct errors when we find them or when they are pointed out. We do not claim the site is free of mistakes, and we cannot warrant that every figure is current at the moment you read it.
Where a review states a price, that price came from published material at the time of writing and may since have moved. The checkout screen is authoritative, not us.

This site links to dating platforms and other outside sites. We do not control them and are not responsible for their content, their pricing, their conduct, their security or their treatment of your information.
Once you leave this site you are subject to that site’s own terms and privacy policy. Read them. A link from us is not a warranty about anything beyond our own opinion at the time we wrote it.
Affiliate relationships

Your own safety
Online dating carries risks that no review site can remove. Romance scams in particular target people looking for a relationship across an age gap, which is exactly our readership.
You are responsible for your own decisions about who to talk to, who to meet and what to share. Never send money to someone you have not met. Meet in public the first time. Tell someone where you are going. We say this in the guides and we mean it here as well.
Acceptable use
Do not scrape the site at a rate that burdens the server, attempt to break into anything, republish our content as your own, or use the site for anything unlawful. Ordinary reading, linking and quoting with attribution are all fine and welcome.
Our content
The words, layout and design on this site belong to us. Quote us with a link and we will be pleased. Copy a review wholesale onto another site and we will ask you to take it down.
Platform names, logos and trademarks belong to their owners. We use them to identify what we are reviewing, which is fair, and it does not imply any endorsement or partnership in either direction.
Limits on our liability
To the fullest extent the law allows, we are not liable for loss arising from your use of this site or of any platform you reach through it. That includes money spent on a subscription, time spent on a platform that disappointed you, and anything that happens between you and another person.
Nothing here excludes liability that cannot lawfully be excluded.
Changes
We may update these terms. The effective date at the top changes when we do, and continuing to use the site after that means accepting the revised version.
Governing law
These terms are governed by the laws of Alabama, and any dispute will be dealt with by the courts there.

I started this site after watching my father go quiet. He was in his sixties, still walking five miles most mornings, still the first one up, still curious about everything. The women he was introduced to were at a different stage of life, settled in ways he was not, and the conversations rarely went anywhere. He was not looking for a bridge partner. He wanted someone with the same appetite for the day that he had.
He tried three dating sites and gave up on all three, having paid for two of them. That is the part I could not let go. Not that it was hard, but that nobody had told him which ones were worth his money before he spent it.
So we write the reviews I wish he had been able to read. We say when a platform is thin, when the pricing is misleading, and when a site is simply the wrong tool for a wide age gap, even when saying so costs us a commission.

Do you run any of these dating sites?
No. We are an independent review site. We do not operate any platform we write about, hold no member data, and cannot see, contact or moderate anyone’s account.
Account, billing and refund problems have to go to that platform’s own support. The cancellation steps for each site we cover are written out in its review.
Is anything on this site advice?
